We follow the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and the marja of the time, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Husseini al-Sistani (HA). All are welcome — whether you are a long-time member, a newcomer to Atlanta, or simply curious about Shia Islam.

Zainabia Nonprofit Inc. is a 501(c)(3) Islamic Education Center serving the Shia Ithna-Asheri (Twelver) Muslim community of Atlanta, Sandy Springs, and the greater Southeast United States. We host daily congregational prayers, weekly majalis, year-round educational programs, and seasonal commemorations.
Where is the Zainabia Center located?
The center is at 1100 Hope Road, Sandy Springs, GA 30350 — easily accessible from Atlanta, Roswell, Alpharetta, Dunwoody, and surrounding cities in north Georgia.
Are non-Muslims and visitors welcome?
Yes — all are welcome. We share our faith and our house of worship with anyone willing to learn about Islam and the Muslim community. Please call ahead at (404) 981-5127 for special programs or to confirm timings.
What happens during Muharram and Safar?
Zainabia hosts nightly majalis-e-aza throughout the 67-day mourning period (1 Muharram – 8 Rabi al-Awwal), commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS) and the Ahl al-Bayt at Karbala. Programs include Ashura, Tasua, Arbaeen, and the shahadat days of Rasul Allah (SAWW), Imam Hasan al-Mujtaba (AS), Imam Ali al-Reza (AS), and Imam Hasan al-Askari (AS).
How can I watch programs live online?
All majalis, Jumma programs, and special events are streamed live on our YouTube channel. The full archive of past Muharram, Ramazan, and Wiladat/Shahadat programs is searchable on the same channel.
How do I donate or become a member?
You can donate via Zeffy (zero processing fees), PayPal, or by phone. Annual community membership is available — see the Donate page. Zainabia Nonprofit Inc. is a 501(c)(3); contributions are tax-deductible.
What is the marja-e-taqleed followed at Zainabia?
The center follows the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and the marja of the time, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Husseini al-Sistani (HA). Resources from his office are linked under Islamic Resources.
